G'day all, as title says I'm getting the bits together for a bilge pump on my 300x and would appreciate any info you guys can pass on.

Specifically about the location of the hole through the hull, left right or center? High as possible or doesn't matter?

Is a standard hole saw okay for drilling through the hull?

Hard wired to the battery with fuse and switch so it'll pump even when engine is off?

Lastly for now, I was given the pump (brand new) but it's only 360 gph. Most of the other threads I've read use a 500 gph so more than happy to go bigger.
