Marine and Safety Tasmania releases comments on PWC Safety Requirements

Kayak, Canoe and PWC Safety Requirements

Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST) is investigating the need to carry safety equipment on kayaks and canoes. MAST is also investigating a change in legislation in regards to the type of life jacket to be carried on a Personal Water Craft (PWC).

MAST advertised and invited the public to make written comment on the recommended proposed amendments in legislation to the carriage of safety equipment on Kayaks, Canoes and PWC. The comment period closed on 31 October 2012.
