Yamaha Motor Australia is thrilled to announce the arrival of three new models to Australian shores. The new models include two new class-leading luxury performance models, the FX Cruiser SVHO and the FX SVHO, as well as the race inspired FZS. The new craft feature the debut of the most powerful motor ever in a Yamaha WaveRunner – the Yamaha Super Vortex High Output (SVHO) marine engine.

The new Super Vortex High Output engine is a purpose-built 1812cc, four-stroke, four-cylinder, supercharged and intercooled Yamaha marine engine.  The new engine is based on Yamaha’s existing 1812cc engine but with improved output from high performance components.

Supercharger boost has been increased by 60 percent by utilising a larger-diameter supercharger impeller drawing air through an air intake which is 22 percent bigger. The SVHO engine features an advanced fuel injection system to increase fuel flow, and added high-performance forged pistons to deliver peak power.

With reliable performance in mind, the increase in supercharger size and performance has also warranted the revision of the intercooler, which is now 25% more efficient.

The increased power output of the new SVHO engine has been strategically matched with all-new jet pump components, enabling efficient transfer of power to the water in all conditions. All models featuring the SVHO engine will also come with a new 160mm, eight-vane jet pump for maximum thrust and hook-up as well as top loader intake grate for improved pickup.

The FX SVHO is the perfect match of aggressive design and aggressive performance.

The new craft featuring SVHO power are led by Yamaha’s FX series of luxury performance WaveRunners. The new FX Cruiser SVHO and FX SVHO models offer the ultimate combination of luxury features with the most powerful engine ever in a Yamaha WaveRunner. Designed for the consumer who wants it all, these models feature big storage capacity for a full day on the water, no wake mode and cruise assist for long journeys as well as mechanical neutral for added convenience.  The riding position is as comfortable as it gets with adjustable steering and bolstered cruiser seats on the FX SVHO Cruiser .These models are fast and packed with features, while remaining lightweight thanks to Yamaha’s proprietary NanoXcel hull and deck. The FX Cruiser SVHO and FX SVHO are finished with aggressive colour and decal schemes for an imposing presence on the water.

With the all-new SVHO engine and drivetrain, the 2014 FZS SVHO muscle craft was bred to perform and handle like no other.

The Yamaha FZS is a model inspired by Yamaha’s proud heritage of high performance muscle craft. Delivering the epitome of high-performance, race-inspired engine design and achievement, the FZS has been upgraded for 2014 with a substantial power boost from the new SVHO engine. This increased power is matched with high performance, high quality pump components. A new 160mm 8-vane pump, new sponsons, a new ride plate and a new top-loader intake grate work seamlessly together to deliver a level of handling never before seen in a WaveRunner and allows the FZS to stay glued to the water during high speed turns. Available in eye catching Lava Metallic, the new FZS is ready to take on all challengers on the race track or on the weekend.
