2008 NATIONAL CAPITAL CUP
PWC RACE SERIES

Well it is that time year again, the best PWC racing event is on in Canberra for the 3rd year running.  The 2008 National Capital Cup PWC Race Series will be held on “Kevin 07’s” doorstep from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th of February 2008

If you only ever attend one Jet Ski race, let this be the one.  You will never have the opportunity to ride in a better location than Lake Burley Griffin Canberra.  This event has classes for all types of PWC’s and rider skill levels.  From the seasoned professional riding a highly modified +400Hp runabout, through to the first time weekend rider that has never raced before, this event has a class for you.  The event also offers both forms of PWC racing in the same weekend.   As usual, there are limited places on the start line, so first in first served.  So if you want to have a great weekend, test your PWC riding skills, and meet the best PWC rider in Australasia, don’t miss this year’s National Capital Cup in Canberra.

Further information including entry forms and sponsorship packs can be found at www.freewebs.com/nationalcapitalcup .  Alternatively, please feel free to contact me on 0407 484 966 or email me at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . We look forward to seeing you at this year’s event.

The event also offers both forms of PWC racing in the same weekend.

  • Circuit Racing (Fri 8th practice, Sat 9th Race) - Commonly described as motocross on water, it involves a group of similar PWC’s racing around a close circuit for 5 to 6 laps.  Each class races 4 times during the day.

  • Endurance Racing (Sun 10th Race) – This form of racing involves 2 races during the day, each 35 minutes in length.  The track is extremely large to allow all the PWC’s to spread out and not get in each others way.  This form of racing can also involve 2 riders per PWC, one for each race.  Only runabouts (sit down PWC’s) compete in this form of racing.

As usual, there are limited places on the start line, so first in first served.  So if you want to have a great weekend, test your PWC riding skills, and meet the best PWC rider in Australasia, don’t miss this year’s National Capital Cup in Canberra. Entry Fees are as follows:

  • $110 per race class per day
  • $50 per day for a race licence (if you do not have a national race licence)
  • $5 per 20L fuel can to be stored within the pits
