I would like to announce that I have nominated the following people to stand for executive positions at the AJSBA AGM next Sunday (15 July 2007).
Tammy Hawkes (South Australia) for the position of AJSBA Secretary
Donna Bennett (South Australia) for the position of AJSBA Treasurer
Donna and Tammy both have an impressive resume, demonstrating extensive
experience in PWC administration by holding positions in the JSBAA
(Adelaide) club for a combined 11years.
Donna has been involved in PWC for 8 years. In that time Donna has been
the JSBAA treasurer and dedicated lap scorer for the past 4 years.
Donna has also supported husband, pro-ski rider Adam Bennett through
his racing career. Donna has 10 years experience as an Optometrist
Consultant and is a mother of two.
Tammy has been involved in PWC for 7 years. Through all 7 years Tammy
has held positions on the JSBAA (Adelaide) committee, as treasurer for
2 years, secretary for 5 years and dedicated lap scorer for all 7
years. Tammy also has 10 years professional experience as a Production
Planner. Also note that Tammy raced PWC for 5 years.
Over the years both nominee’s have travelled to several PWC events
around Australia which has given them the opportunity to meet and get
to know a large number of the PWC racing community. Always offering
their help and assistance at interstate events they have certainly
earned a lot of respect. Both girls attend all JSBAA committee meetings
and have direct, positive input in the running of all aspects of our
club. Good friends, both work very well together and are prepared to
help ‘take up the slack’ where required.
Both Donna and Tammy have accepted the nominations.
I ask that you support the girls in their standings and consider them for the positions nominated above.
