An historic meeting took place yesterday evening (Tues 22 May) at the 'famous' St George Sailing Boat Club that looks set to lay the foundations for a new beginning for personal watercraft competition in NSW.
A huge turnout of 70 odd people that encompassed past (& life) members of the Sydney, Newcastle & Wollongong clubs as well as the APWA were unanimous in supporting a new club to be called the NSW PWC Association.
Two things were decided:
1. nominations for a working/starting committee were asked for, and gained, as follows:
2. everyone agreed that a new club be formed called the NSW PWC Association.
The new club will 'absorb' the assets of the old Sydney Club (SJSBA),
the Wollongong Club (SCJBA), the Newcastle Club (NJSBA) and the
Australian Personal Watercraft Club (APWA).
