My name is Bob Johnston and I have been involved in personal water craft for about 20 years as announcer on the tour all over Australia in the 1980s/90, and of late at The National Capitol Cup in Canberra.

What has saddened me is the demise of Newcastle,Sydney,and Wollongong clubs as promoters and I guess we all know why,there is a small number of people that do the work to keep these clubs going and after a while these persons get sick of doing all the work and get little or no help from club members, and that is not a swipe at members it is a fact of life that we have to accept.

Ian (sea dog) Jefferies and me are asking for expressions of interest from P.W.C.riders one and all with the viewe of resurrecting the Surf Race at South Beach in Wollongong.

There has been meetings with St.George Sailing Club the home of Sydney
Jet Sports Club, also with members of A.P.W.A.and their response to amalgamation of the clubs was positive.

There is still a small amount of funds in the bank so we will not be starting off in the red, there is also equipment and plant belonging to both clubs stored under The Sailing Club and that in it's self is a big start.
