After discussion between myself and Craig Day last night we have decided to continue with the AJSBA.

We understand how the majority of riders look forward to the National Championships for a long time and our duty to our elected positions must overide our personal concerns at this time.

But (there is always a but) we must emphasise that we will no longer tolerate anybody bringing the AJSBA in to disrepute. Riders have been babied for to long and must expect that their elected representatives must look at the big picture and put aside our individual preferences for the good of the sport.

I would ask that riders also think that way and put their brains in gear before hitting the broadband.

Communication.?  On the 16/10/06 I sent an email to all club presidents asking for help at the finals and starting a dialogue that would involve all clubs,riders,family and supporters in turning the 2007 Finals into an event to be proud of.

To date I have received positive replies from the presidents of Tasmania and Western Australia. I have received no support from either SA and Vic which are, along with the JSCB , the major clubs in Australia.

To that end I am requesting these clubs to immediatly supply volunteers names and contact details so that jobs can be allocated. This is no longer a request but a demand.

The JSCB are the prime contractors for the entire set up and pull down of the sites. Contact Dan Fox to volunteer for helping.

I must also emphasise that "GUNNAS" will not be tolerated. In the last two years I have lost count of the number of times that I have been let down by people who, two days before the finals, tell me that they can't attend because their e.g."ex wifes father in law has the flu".

If your club puts your name  forward to work then it is up to you or the club to fill any vacancies. There are jobs that involve a few hours work before and after the event. We also need lap scorers,  track spotters, General clerical assistance etc.

So in essence stop your bitching, get your name on a helping list and do something for YOUR sport so we can put on an event that we all will have fun at and be proud of.
