Announcement
This announcement foreshadows the resignation of both the President and the Vice President of the AJSBA. We can no longer put up with the garbage that passes as chat on OZPWC. The decisions the Executive make are made in the best interests of the riders and the sport in general. The short sighted cretins who inhabit the shallow end of the OZPWC pond are welcome to nominate and be confirmed into the vacant positions. Craig and I both run our own companies and are not employed by the Public Service or some quasi privatatised ex govt authority. Our time is paid for by us and therefore is precious to us. In the case of the leg guards we sought the advice of Tony Grey and Les Cooke. Both were unequivocal in their support for this move. Perhaps if those so vocally protesting had ever achieved what they have in this sport they would quit their carping and realize that safety is a serious business. If it can be shown that after a broken back we did nothing to prevent it then we are liable. It is a situation we are not prepared to countenance. We both have done all we can and received mainly criticism for our actions. If this results in the canceling of the Nationals and the World Surf Moto then we both regret that. We are both ceasing any more work on the finals while we wait for nominations from the riders for the positions of President and VicePresident.” |
