The AJSBA wishes to announce the acceptance of the tender proposal submitted by Queensland Personal Watercraft Club to hold the 2009 Australian Watercross Championships.
'
The Australian Flat Water Titles will be held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of April (weekend prior to Easter) at Somerset Dam (to be confirmed). Racing will consist of 5 Moto’s.
The Australian Surf Titles will be held on Easter Saturday, the 11th of April at Kingscliff (to be confirmed). Racing will consist of 4 Moto’s.
Classes will be confirmed at a later date. All classes must have a minimum of 5 riders to constitute a class, other than the junior classes which may have a minimum of 3.
The AJSBA would like to remind all riders to be eligible to compete in the Australian Watercross Championships they must have competed in a minimum of 3 local club rounds this season. Exemptions can be requested to the AJSBA.
To be eligible for an Australian Title a competitor must compete in both the Flat Water and Surf Titles.
The AJSBA will be insisting each affiliated club nominates 2 people to be able to assist the QPWC volunteers at both the Flat Water and Surf events. This would preferably be non racers.
The AJSBA would like to thank Queensland Personal Watercraft Club. We are sure the 2009 Australian Watercross Championships will be a great success.
