SAMUT PRAKAN — A 14-year-old Thai boy who won a world jetski championship in 2015 suffered fatal injuries when hit by a another jetski driven by a young boy after a fall while training in a lake in Muang district on Sunday. Chantouch Chanthasuntitham, of Pathum Thani’s Thanyaburi district, was a student at Heathfield International School, Bangkok. Chantouch earned fame when he won the Novice Ski Stock division of the 2015 Quakysense World Finals  at Lake Havasu City, Arizona, in October 2015. Sajja Chanthasuntitham, his father, told police he took his son to train at Bung Chao Samut, a large lake of about 100 rai in tambon Thai Ban Mai in Muang district. About 2.20pm, while Chantouch was driving a jetski on the lake he  fell from the machine into the water and was hit by another jetski driven by 9-year-old boy, Pol Capt Saranpach Boonrangsri, duty officer at Muang district police station, said. Chantouch received a major head injury, evidenced by a deep cut to the left side of his face. He was rushed to Paolo Samut Prakan Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
