The Great Australian Poker Run – PWC’s welcome (12 Dec 2015)

The ‘Great Australian Poker Run’ coming up very soon on Saturday December 12th on the Hawksbury River is now open to personal watercraft enthusiasts who want to join in the fun and raise funds for MS at the same time.

Starting from Wisemans Ferry, we head down stream, together, in single file to the first checkpoint at Spencer. At Spencer, crews will do a drive-by card pick up, and continue their journey to a private beach out the front of the Broken Bay Sports and Recreation Center, also known as Little Patonga (Between Juno Point and Pacific Head). This will be half way.

At half way, we have ready to go, a 70 foot Predator Sun Seeker, wth a live band playing music for us. Crews can either raft up in the water, or go to the beach area where there is plenty of shade, toilets, and a protected shark netted swimming area. We will stay here together for a couple of hours, and lunch will be provided, for those who have bought a lunch-included entry.

We will leave Little Patonga at around 1pm, again in single file, and head back up river to Spencer for another checkpoint. This again, will be a drive by, and continue back to Wisemans Ferry for a finish.

At Wismeans Ferry, we have booked out Del Rio Resort, where we have live music, prawn buckets, cheese platters, river-side bars and heaps of fun till about 7pm.

All we do is to raise funds for people who suffer MS, enjoy our boats or PWC’s and get water-keen people together in a safe and unique boating experience.
