Sutherland Shire Council waterways facilities upgrade program – have your say!

Council is planning upgrades of some of its waterways facilities to improve access to the Shire’s magnificent waterways. The aim of the projects is to improve the safety and ease of waterway access through renewed infrastructure. The projects will be carried out over three years and are jointly funded by Council’s input of $2.62 million from its Infrastructure Program, along with grants totalling $1.745 million from NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) under its Boating Now program. This is a total spend of $4.365 million.

Council is gathering community feedback on the existing use and amenity of these waterways facilities in order to inform the design. There are nine facilities that you can comment on:

Note: There is a new Small Craft Launching Facility proposed for Old Ferry Road at Illawong, however this is not included in the current community engagement as this consultation has already recently been completed.
