Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) demonstrates BRP reliability

SLSAAs the end of another highly successful Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) season comes to an end, 71 days of gruelling patrols were made all the more easy with legendary performance and durably of Can-Am side-by-side commander 800, Sea-Doo GTI 130hp and Evinrude E-TEC 25HP.
“BRP products are powerful lifesaving tools. They enable surf lifesavers and lifeguards to move around the beach and water quickly. This means patrolling and rescues can be performed with greater efficiency and rapid response to saving lives.” said SLSA CEO, Melissa King.
With the average yearly patrol season lasting 10 hours a day over 71 days, Can-Am vehicles will have clocked up 319,000 kilometres this year alone, of hard sand work. Sea-Doo watercraft and Evinrude outboards will have passed 51,120 hours of on water patrolling for the 2015/2016 season.
These numbers are testament to the decision SLSA took back in 2009 to acquire BRP services with Can-Am, Sea-Doo and Evinrude E-TEC to help protect Australian beach goers.

BRP products are currently being used across SLSA clubs around Australia and include the;

  • Can-Am Commander side-by-side with its innovative Can-Am Learning Key that limits speed for beginners and allows surf clubs to safely train the next generation of lifesavers;
  • Sea-Doo personal watercraft with on-water braking system (the first of its kind) which enhances safety and manoeuvrability making BRP products the best suited to SLSA standards;
  • Evinrude E-TEC engines with emission complied 2 stroke fuel injected outboards that use up to 50% less fuel with 30% more torque than current engines.
