The 18-year-old is set to compete at the World Finals in Arizona for an impressive third time. But despite his young age, Lemon isn’t too daunted by what lies ahead of him.

“Being so young I was frightened obviously, but I just wanted to prove that I could do it, because I knew I could do it.

“It was just getting over the fear of it” says Lemon, undaunted by taking part in a competition with riders from over 25 countries.

The young wave rider’s attitude is second to none, not satisfied with his New Zealand rider of the year title, Lemon is aiming even higher when he takes to the water at the 2016 IJSBA World Finals.

“I believe we can come back with a world title if everything goes well. I can’t predict any issues we may have but I’ll do my best to resolve them and carry on”.

Lemon will be in action next week at the 21016 Quakysense World Finals 1-9 October in Lake Havasu City, Arizona USA.
