4-STROKE IN-LINE FOUR

DOHC, 16-valve, fuel injected, 4-stroke In-Line Four engine displaces 1,498 cm³ and has a bore/stroke ratio of 83.0 x 69.2 mm. Compression is 10.6:1. Electronic fuel injection system delivers hard-hitting throttle response. Coolant water is force-fed from the jet pump. Filter at the inlet prevents debris from entering the system. Sound absorbing box inside the water muffler contributes to low exhaust noise. Intake manifold designed with feedback from ULTRA 310 Series models contributes to low-rpm acceleration and response.

MASSIVE POWER

The JET SKI SX-R offers double the power of Kawasaki’s last stand-up model – a top speed 25% quicker than the JET SKI 800 SX-R. The SX-R delivers the impressive performance that racers crave: acceleration is overwhelmingly strong, and slalom course times are quick. The broad range of 4-stroke power offered by the SX-R is very manageable, facilitating control.

RIDER ACTIVE HULL

The stand-up hull offers the best of both worlds: agile handling and superb stability. This combination ensures the high performance required for racing while offering recreational riders a package they can handle with confidence. Development of the hull incorporated racing feedback. Its agile handling, complemented by great stability and increased power, allows high cornering speed. Corner grip of the well balanced machine exceeds that of the predecessor model – 800 SX-R. Sitting high in the water when stopped, the hull’s facilitates boarding.

STAINLESS STEEL GRATE

Water intake is via a special low-resistance stainless steel intake grate. Its design, although slightly longer, was based on the highly efficient grate of the preceeding model – 800 SX-R.

STAINLESS STEEL IMPELLER

The 148 mm diameter oval-edged, 3-blade, cast stainless-steel impeller delivers strong acceleration, high efficiency and low cavitation. The jet pump drive-line features a large rubber damper to absorb shock loads from the powerful engine, and to reduce drive-line noise. Strong drive shaft complements the engine power; the drive shaft is supported by a sealed bearing.

ULTRA 310R

R FOR RACING AND RECREATION

The Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 310R personal watercraft (PWC) is the perfect prescription for adventurous riders seeking a pure adrenaline rush on the water. Based on Kawasaki’s popular Jet Ski Ultra 310X, the new R-model draws from decades of Kawasaki’s championship-winning PWC racing experience to create the ultimate “sport” personal watercraft that’s ideal for hard core recreation and racing. New to the flagship line-up is the Ultra 310R.  The sport model is equipped with an 18 position handle bar and a sports seat – both designed for hard sport riding.

    The JETSOUND audio system, a first in personal watercraft, allows riders to listen to music while riding. For those who feel life is better with a soundtrack when blasting across the water on a supercharged Jet Ski, the new Jetsound audio system is for you!

    The audio system was jointly developed with ASA Electronics (makers of Jensen).  Standard equipment on the Ultra 310LX, the system includes an amp and audio controller (built into the handle), and two speakers (positioned below the mirrors).

    The amp is rated at 20W (x 2 channels); max 40W x 2 channels.  The speakers are rated at 30W each; max 60W x 2

    The system is compatible with iPod and iPhone, other smartphones, and other audio players that have a stereo pin jack output and provide files in MP3 format.  The system can also play music files from a USB memory stick.

    The waterproof aluminium case in the glove box is provided for playback from a USB memory stick. The system can handle USB memory sticks up to 4GB.  For iphone / iPod use, connect with the equipped stereo pin jack (3.5mm). A water resistant storage case is provided standard and is compatible with models / sizes up to iPhone 4S.

FEATURE PACKED

The STX-15F boasts a host of handy features including storage compartments in the bow, glove box and under seat for carrying a fire extinguisher, tool kit, cooler and more. There are adjustable rear-view mirrors, finger throttle control, a magnetic ignition switch for extra security, plus an adaptor to connect the fresh water flushing fitting to your garden hose.

DIGITAL FUEL INJECTION

The 60mm single throttle body fuel injection system utilises an individual injector per cylinder to provide instant starting, superb throttle response, quick acceleration, smooth engine performance and a dramatic reduction in fuel consumption.

HIGH EFFICIENCY EXHAUST SYSTEM

The engine’s highly tuned exhaust system is water-jacketed to help reduce underhood temperatures and keep the STX-15F running as quietly as possible. It features dual water mufflers to maintain very low exhaust noise levels.

ADVANCED JET PUMP

The STX-15F’s drive system consists of an axial-flow pump utilising a three-blade oval-edge stainless steel impeller to provide excellent hook-up and maximum drive at all operating speeds.

The STX-15F’s high-performance, 1,498cc, 4 cylinder, DOHC, fuel injected, 4-stroke engine was adapted from technology developed through Kawasaki’s leading edge range of Ninja sports motorcycles.

The open rear deck has plenty of space well suited for getting into water skis or for use as a diving platform, and its close-to-the-water height and automatically retracting boarding step make boarding in deep water a breeze.

KAWASAKI SLO-MODE

The STX-15F features Kawasaki’s electronic Smart Learning Operation (SLO)-Mode function allows new riders to become familiar with the handling and response of this JET SKI watercraft at a relaxed pace before operating the STX-15F at full power.  Two separate keys (Yellow for SLO-mode, Green key for full-power operation) prevent operating mistakes.
