New licensed restaurant tipped for Tipplers
Tipplers Resort on South Stradbroke Island could finally have its long-awaited licensed restaurant if a development proposal is endorsed by Council on Monday (30/1). The application for the restaurant was recommended for approval at today’s City Planning Committee meeting. It will replace the former ‘Tradewinds’ function room and bar area, and will operate from 7am to 10pm, seven days per week. Gold Coast Ocean Race Cancelled
The QPWC regrets to announce we have been forced to make a decision to POSTPONE this weekends race in the interest on everyones safety. In association with K38 and the Coast Guard great consideration has been given not only to the safety of the Riders and Skis but also the Safety support boats. Luke Day to tackle the longest non stop jet ski race in the world
17 year old Jet Pilot sponsored Pro PWC racer Luke Day from Australia will be pairing up with USA Pro rider Dave Hardenburger to tackle the longest non-stop jet ski race in the world on a heavily modified stand up Jetski. The event is known as the Mark Hahn Memorial 300 race held in honour of Mark Hahn who was a passionate supporter and racer within the PWC Endurance format. NSW Maritime launches Lifejacket website
NSW Minister for Roads and Ports Duncan Gay today launched a safety website designed to promote greater awareness of lifejackets and when to wear them when boating. Mr Gay said NSW Maritime developed the site as a simple, easy to follow, safety reference for the boating community. “NSW introduced new lifejacket laws in November 2010 which made it compulsory to wear lifejackets in high-risk circumstances such as boating alone, at night and offshore in small craft,”... 2012 NZ Jet Sport Nationals Announcement
The Canterbury Jet Sport Club has announced that due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to unfortunately move the date of the 2012 NZ Jet Sport Nationals to be held at Lake Roto Kohatu, Christchurch. The new dates for this event are Friday 30th, Saturday 31st, and Sunday 1st of April. We hope this doesn’t inconvenience anyone, but it is a change that has had to be made.
